Oh puppers and kittehs, this is an excitin' day indeed, the last baby burdie has left the nestie!
Here he is gettin' ready to fly away.....
Thanks for lettin' me watch you grow baby burdie!!
Fly free sweet Hummingburd, fly free!!
Here's a close up of the empty nestie!! Wows, that looks comfy! BOL
Frankie and Ernie were wonderin' just what the Hummingburds used for nesting materials...well the most exciting thing I found out was they use Spider Webs to glue everythings together!!!! Wows, that was news to me! Very cool.
If you want to learn more abouts these amazin' burdies, Ma has a cool website that will teach you everythings you ever wanted to know!
Now, if you missed the beginnings of the nestie, here are the links:
Butts, don't worry puppers and kittehs...guess what????

ReplyDeleteGreat photos and story! Thanks for sharing all the post links. Mom did a good job with the information page about hummingbirds - very cool.
ReplyDeleteAw, they grow up so fast! I hope they will be very happy birds :) How clever they are to use those sticky spider webs for their nesties!

Hugs madi your bFFF
I bet the first tenants left the place in a mess. You should discriminate and only rent to RUBY-throated hummingbirds but don't tell the gov't.
ReplyDeleteRuby you have a full time job keeping up with all the babies. I am so happy the last baby is on his way in the world. Thanks to you he is safe and happy. Now on to the next babies. "Ruby-Bird Sitter Expert"

Ruby, this is amazing! You captured the moment that the baby birdiy left the next..... then the nest was taken over by new mom. :) :)
ReplyDeleteMomo and Pinot xo
YES!!!! We were so hoping this would happen. Please tell that Mama bird that we would be glad to send you some of our soft furs for that nest. We let the ones Mom brushes off of us blow in the wind here so the birdies can find them.
ReplyDeleteYou should run a game for readers to guess how many babies there will be this time:)
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Do you think you could talk a Hummingbird into making a giant nest..... big enough for a dawg to curl up in......they do look comfy!!!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie xxx
