Our Mom takes Maxalt for her head bangers and it works good except she has to sleep for about a whole day afterwards.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your mom's my-grains. I take a preventative (amitriptaline) and I discovered that higher doses make you very prone to gaining weight. No one warned me... so I thought I'd warn your mom so she'd be ready. My higher dose did reduce the my-grains but I can't eat as much :( My neurologist offered me botox but the list of bad side effects scared me so I'm not doing that yet.

Seriously, Ruby, I don't know how humans who don't have dogs as helpful as you get anything done ever! My dogs help outside a lot (gardening, patroling etc.) and my cats are great at office work (hole punching, shredding, etc.) Hope your Ma's migraines improve. I've battled a few myself and they are simply awful! Sending her healing wags and purrs. (And I'm sure you're helping her feel better, too.)
