Here I am waitin' at the vettie to gets my stitches out
I tried to talk to the puppers in the waiting room on the other side of the door
Hmmm, what's this??
Oh, this is nice an cushy! What's it for? Naps?? I don't wants to be here THAT long!
Huh? They're gonna lay me on my side to take out my stitches,
and this will make it nice and comfortable.
Okays, let's do this!
I got my stitches out, and the dogtor said I looked very good!
He also explained what he thinks happened ~
It WASN'T a Seroma ~
what happened was, my initial surgery, I had internal stitches which were suppose to dissolve.
One of them didn't. And it got infected, and luckily found a way out, instead of festering inside.
It is very unusual for it to take over 4 months to happen, butts then
I am a very unusual puppers! BOL!
So, since there were no internal stitches this time, it won't happen again.
I still have to wear my inflatable donut for a couple more days, just so I don't bother my incision.
Still, I am very happy that I gots the all clear!
Thanks for all the POTP, prayers, and well wishes!
They really helped more than you knows!

ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a woof woof day, Miss Ruby. My best to your peeps. ♥
We're so glad to hear all your stitches are out. That is interesting about the stitches not dissolving and something to remember in case it happens to one of us some day.
ReplyDeleteNext week Kali goes in for dental work. I get to skip that.
ReplyDeleteYay Ruby...you certainly do look 87 x gorgeous today...I'm happy we know what happened. Seems you and I might be kin if something weird can happen I'll be the one it happens too also.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and your wonderful ma
Cecilia
Ruby, does this mean that you don't have to go back to the stabby place anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteWe're very glad things are going well!
ReplyDeleteWhew! What a crazy thing to happen Ruby. We are so glad things are looking good now and hopefully you'll have that big cone off in no time!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Great news about the stitches coming out, and in many ways a relief to understand what happened. We keep wondering why Mom didn't have to wear a cone of shame before she had her staples removed:)
ReplyDeleteWoos, Lightning and Timber
Holy crap! That WOULD only happen to you Ruby. I am glad that’s all it was but still...holy crap! What are the odds of that happening?
ReplyDeleteYou look very good. Soon The Donut of Doom will be a distant memory (or future chew toy).
Keep on healing! :)
Wow, you just keep finding new and interesting ways of raising your momma's blood pressure! BOL. Glad the stitches were removed without incident this time.
ReplyDeleteWe're all happy to hear that you're healing so well. It calls for a party. Bring on the margaritas.
ReplyDeleteWe're so happy to hear you've ditched the stitches and {mostly} resume being a pawsome presence in the 'hood. Weird that one pesky previous stitch got infection and took it's sweet time to letting everyone know but we're happy nonetheless it wasn't something more serious. Have a super weekend, Ruby-girl.
ReplyDeleteThat is such awesome news, Ruby!!!! Only a couple more days in the life-preserver! You can do this!!!!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
You're a good girl, Ruby and so brave. We're happy to hear the good news. Now here comes and Extra Healing Pawkiss just for you and some more for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad the myster was solved and you are getting better.
ReplyDeleteThat is good to know! Mom sympathizes with you because when she had her hysterectomy, a internal stitch didn’t dissolve in her either. It got infected and the doctor had to go back in and get it plus give her a shot in the scar. Ouchie! Take care of yourself
ReplyDeleteLulu: "That's good news Ruby! Much better than anything ending with an '-oma'! Now there'd better be no more funny business from stitches after this!"
ReplyDeleteYay for you Ruby! I'm glad that you have a good explanation for what happened. And I'm most glad that it won't happen again! You are R are inflatable collar twinsies. They are better than cones, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteHi Ruby, sorry it took this long for us to stop by and see how you are doing. That really is good news! Everything will be back to usual before long. XOX Xena and Lucy
ReplyDeleteThose absorbable sutures are not so absorbable. Lee had surgery years ago and when they opened her for her appendectomy they found stitches still inside after twelve years. Ruby you gots to stop this with the surgery why it must be draining your piggy bank and the scars why they will think you had failed plastic surgery. Why you missed National Margarita Day celebrated every year on Feb 22.
