Okay my sweet beautiful Ruby did somebody steal your eyes haha. You look amazing so glad to see you pop up here and I hope you didn't have to listen to the boom boom boom all night like we did
I sure as H*** need a stiff drink! Lee and I went for our pickup order at Kroger Grocery. No Meat/ No Lettuce/ No Coca-Cola Caffeine Free Soda because aluminum is in short supply and Coke has stopped production of Caffeine Free and Cherry Coke which Lee likes. I think everyone bought fireworks because what else were they going to spend their money on, OH maybe a bun without the hotdog! No shortage right well they left Nati City out of that survey. Sweet William The Scot
Ruby, I walked my neighborhood early this morning, 'cause it's too hot to do it any other time...and there was debris left over from folks shooting off fireworks. What a mess, and it was loud too! Glad that's over.
We think that Achilles, our "cousin" who is staying with us this week, took on all our fears. He's the only one who was bothered by the booms, and we are usually basket cases, as Mom says. Then last night God made shot off fireworks with even louder booms. Good grief. Can't we just skip this holiday?! XOX Xena and Lucy
You know us, Ruby...we're always up for a paw-ty but wish people would do it more quietly. At least we managed to get through it and hope you did as well. Margaritas make everything better.
Lulu: "Our Dada says, 'Welcome to Earth!' And then he pretended to punch a pillow." Charlee: "Why?" Lulu: "I have no idea. Some kind of Independence Day homage to Will Smith, I guess."
You look so festive, Ruby! I hope your fireworks were the silent type and I hope your 4th was great!

ReplyDeleteWe hope you had a happy and quiet Independence Day Ruby.
ReplyDeleteWay too noisy!! We could use those margaritas.
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of people in our neighborhood setting off their own fireworks last night. Good thing the noise doesn't bother me.
ReplyDeleteThe fire danger is high-didn't hear even a fireecracker.
